# Founding Pega

They were created, not born.

When the Pegalon Metaverse officially declared Pega Racing a legal sport, there was a maximum of 5,000 Pega created. These 5,000 represented the foundation of what would eventually become **millions** of Pega in the coming years.\

Holding one of these 5,000 Pega is a collector's dream, these Pega represent the original creator's idea of the Pega racing tournaments and will forever remain the only Pega to ever be "created" instead of "born" through breeding.\
\
Identifying a Founding Pega is quite simple, it is displayed in the Pega information area, however in the future it will be identifiable on the Pega itself.
